Vivimate not working? How to fix it
Vivimate app not loading, black screen, or channels not playing? Here are the most common problems Vivimate users run into and exactly how to fix each one.
Something stopped working. Before you contact us, this guide covers 90% of the issues people message us about. Start from the top and work your way down.
Quick checklist first
Run through these before anything else:
- Restart your device (not standby — power off, wait 10 seconds, back on)
- Check your internet: run a speed test on the same network. IPTV needs at least 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K
- Make sure your Vivimate subscription is still active — check the expiry date we sent you
- Open the player app (TiViMate, IPTV Smarters, etc.) and try refreshing the playlist
If the issue persists after those four steps, find your specific problem below.
App won’t open or crashes immediately
What it looks like: You tap the app and it closes, freezes on a loading screen, or shows a crash message.
How to fix it:
- Close the app fully — on Fire Stick, hold the back button; on Android, swipe it away from recents
- Clear the app cache: Settings > Apps > [your player] > Clear Cache (not Clear Data — that removes your playlist)
- If cache clearing doesn’t help, uninstall the app and reinstall it from the store. Your playlist will need to be re-added, so have the M3U URL or Xtream codes we sent you ready
- If you’re on a Fire Stick and TiViMate isn’t in the Amazon Store, you may need to re-sideload it via Downloader — see our Fire Stick setup guide
Not sure whether TiViMate or IPTV Smarters is the right app for your device? We’ve compared both in our best IPTV player for Fire Stick guide.
Black screen or no picture on channels
What it looks like: The channel loads, the progress bar appears, but the screen stays black. Audio may or may not play.
How to fix it:
- Try a different channel first. If other channels work, the one showing black screen may be temporarily down — try again in a few minutes
- Switch the stream type in your player settings. In TiViMate: Settings > Advanced > Player > try switching between ExoPlayer and internal player
- Check that your player app has permission to use the network. On Android: Settings > Apps > [player] > Permissions > enable network access
- On smart TVs, some older models struggle with certain stream formats. Try IPTV Smarters Pro as an alternative to your current app
Channels not loading or stuck spinning
What it looks like: You click a channel and the spinner just runs without ever playing anything.
How to fix it:
- Your internet connection is the most likely cause. Try a YouTube video on the same device to confirm the connection works
- Switch from WiFi to a wired connection if you can. WiFi interference is the most common reason streams that worked yesterday stop working today
- In TiViMate, go to Settings > Connection > EPG/Playlist timeout and increase it from 10 seconds to 30 seconds
- If your playlist URL has expired (we send them with an expiry date), message us on WhatsApp and we’ll send you a fresh one
- Server load spikes during major live events. If every channel fails at exactly the same time as a big match, wait 5 minutes and try again
Constant buffering during playback
Buffering is a separate topic with its own full guide. See how to fix IPTV buffering for a step-by-step breakdown of every cause and fix.
The short version: wired connection, 25+ Mbps, and hardware acceleration turned on in your player will resolve most buffering cases.
Channels are there but some are missing
What it looks like: You can see your channel list but specific channels you expected are not showing up.
How to fix it:
- Refresh your playlist. In TiViMate: long-press the playlist > Update. In IPTV Smarters: Settings > Clear Data, then re-add the playlist
- Check the channel name in your EPG/guide — channel names vary by region. beIN Sports HD 1, for example, may appear as BeinSport 1 HD or similar
- Some channels are region-specific. If you moved or are using a VPN, the channel may not be available for your current location
- Message us to confirm which channels are included for your region. Not every channel in the catalogue is available everywhere
Playlist says it’s expired or invalid
What it looks like: The player shows an “authentication failed”, “playlist expired”, or “invalid URL” error.
How to fix it:
- Check the subscription expiry date we sent you. If it has passed, message us on WhatsApp to renew
- If the subscription is still active, message us — sometimes a playlist URL needs to be reissued. We’ll send a new one in minutes
- Make sure you haven’t accidentally edited the URL when pasting it. A single missing character breaks it entirely — copy and paste rather than typing it manually
Still not working?
If none of the above fixed your issue, message us directly. Include:
- Your device type (e.g. Fire Stick 4K, Samsung TV, Android phone)
- The player app you’re using
- What the error says, or what happens when you try to play a channel
We reply within a few hours and can usually sort it in one back-and-forth.
